Circuit class @ powderheart
This class is a full body circuit class with three different stations: floor (with a weight and bosu ball), bench (variety of weights and a bench), and the ski / standing rower machine. This class is unique in that it prides itself in the LIIT methed (low intensity interval training). which means it is good on your joints. For each circuit, there is also a “green”, “blue”, and “black” option where you can pick the difficulty level based on what you’re up to. I love classes like this that challenge you in every way, strength and cardio.
8/10 - Don’t let the “low intensity” part of the LIIT method fool you - this class is HARD and a great workout.
The classes range between 8-9 ClassPass points which is comparable to other similar classes. Through the studio, your first class is FREE and then after that a single class is $26.
There is a free parking garage off of McKinney which is the best option since it is location in West Village and street parking is slim. This studio is so dang cute and the vibe of working out in a dark room is EVERYTHING you need to get you in the zone. COVID protocols are in place to where you wipe down after each station and you are required to wear a mask while not exercising. They provide towels for free and there is even a kombucha / cold brew / rose bar on tap which is GOALS.
