lower focus @ barry’s bootcamp

I did the full body with a lower focus (55 minutes) with Sydney! This class was broken up into 13 minute segments (13 minutes on the treadmill, 13 on the floor, then repeated). The treadmill portion was varying speeds and inclines, I ran about 1 mile each treadmill segment. The floor portion was about 1 minute intervals of exercises with dumbbells and body weight.

8.10 - even though it was a lower focus class, it still included some abs ans arms! This was such a good mix of cardio and strength training. Their website says you can burn up to 1000 calories.

18 Classpass points. This is a lot but it’s perfect if you have some points to burn at the end of a cycle. $32 for an individual class through the studio.

Barry’s lived up to the hype. It is FANCY and so chic. There’s a full locker room with all the fixins, plush waiting area with couches and foam rollers, free towels for during class, and cold towels for after. They don’t have any “extras” you have to pay for like some other studios. Located in West Village. There’s plenty of parking in the garage behind the studio but the area can get crowded on the weekends. Everyday of the week is a different body part emphasized so you won’t repeat classes throughout the week. They also have a smoothie bar where you can place your order before class and they’ll have it waiting for you after.
